Hi Folks,

I am currently playing through Crysis for the first time with a view to carrying on after and going through warhead. I noticed that crysis is going to be available on steam on Friday so am tempted to download it. If I put my cd key into steam will it let me download a copy of the game and so I don't need the dvd in to play it? I was going to download warhead so might as well get both.

Also, can I just copy my config and saved games over to the new location?

Thanks

Matt

I doubt your retail key will work on Steam. You'll have to buy the complete package if you want to be able to download both.

And you should be able to transfer games saves and configs across into the new directory if you do buy it on Steam.

If it does not work...I think the closest you can get to making it work on steam is the following way:

Adding Non-Steam Games to Your Games List
Games which cannot be registered through Steam may still be added to your game list for easy access - please see the Adding non-Steam games to My games list topic for more information on this process.

However I am not sure if you would need the CD in still or not....I have not tried it personally.

Yeah, I'm in IT so they count OCUK as a computer hardware site. The fools :D

Unfortunately I'm not in the bit of IT that looks after blocking games websites. Yet.
