Hey

This has probably been covered a million times before but im pretty new to pc gaming. Got myself a copy of crysis warhead and have everything on enthusiast settings with 4xaa and runs at over 40fps and is sweet. original crysis runs very high fine but when i patch to 2.1 its awful and wont run properly on minimum. i have a i7 930 running at 3.6,1600 corsair ram,5870 so this shouldnt be a problem, idea's? also off topic but why do i get refresh lines on my monitor sometimes?

thats the bad boy above

cheers guys!

From memory, Crysis warhead looks slightly worse than Crysis but runs slightly better. Are you using the Steam versions of these games? If so, Crysis will only be 32bit but Crysis warhead will be 64bit. Maybe you have managed to force the wrong patch (I'm not sure if that's even possible and Steam updates itself) As for refresh lines, do you mean tearing? If so then googling 'screen tearing' and 'v-sync' will tell you what you need to know. Basically, if you enable v-sync, you will elimate tearing but if it's a game that doesn't average more than your monitor refresh rate (usually 60htz/60fps) then it will have an impact on performance.

hmmm ill try with v-sync on and see, well crysis runs amazing without the patch although i didnt check if it was 64 or 32 bit patch. warhead is steam and crysis aint
