Hey all,

Firstly, apologies that this is YET ANOTHER Crysis performance thread. I've searched and found other threads, but they're eons old and my posts aren't getting noticed.

Was having some wierd problems with Crysis (X1900XT, PCI-E), most of which I've fixed by stopping CCC forcing AA and installing the 7.11 hotfix (using DriverCleaner) on its own. The game's looking great with everything at high but there's still some niggling issues.

First of all there's AA: now, I realize a lot of ATI Card owners are finding it impossible to use AA in Crysis at the mo, but not all of them. Especially some X1900 owners I've come across. I have to turn on AA before loading a map to prevent it from "blowing out" the image. Even so, I get transparent lines across the screen, which decrease in harshness the lower the AA I use. I'm just wondering if I've missed something and someone's found a fix for this.

Second, I'm getting a lot of texture flashing (not sure if this is correct terminology, I'm basically having objects and details pop-up on the screen as I walk, even though I'm quite close to them, or somethings are only visible with binoculars from a distance). Yet again, wondering if there's anything I can do to solve this.

I know the above problems are supposed to have been made better with the hotfix, so I'm just wondering if I should try re-installing the hotfix with Cab Cleaner as well as DriverCleaner, or would this be a waste of time?

Right, that's a longer post than I expected, thanks for reading and thanks in advance!

I have a x1900 card and use 2x aa, I get interference on the screen, and to get rid of that, I play it for a few mins, then I quit back to the menu, and load up the save game, and no more interference or much less then before.

I did notice odd grey lines with my old x1900xt when running AA on the demo, but only very occasionally.
The fact the game brought my overclocked card to its knees running 1680x1050 at high with even the slightest bit of AA was more of an issue tbh.
