Crysis Question?

I'm gona make a prat of myself here and ask whether crysis is Vista only? I know it supports DX9 cards but does that mean you upgrade to vista and keep your DX9 card and upgrade to a DX10 later or will Crysis work on XP and a DX9 card. Again sorry

Ah all I wanted to know. Want to get myself a 24" Monitor and a 7950 GX2 and was worried it won't work unless I get Vista, my bad. Cheers

I'm not too fussed about the extra effects yet. I won't be upgrading to Vista till late 2007-early 2008 anyways. I'll get a newer graphics card then aswell.

EDIT: I also heard that DX9 games will perform better under Vista aswell due to the way the drivers work.

K here's another silly question. Will DX10 cards run XP ok? Can one get a DX10 card when they are released and then get Vista later on?

Halo 2 could probably run on a DX8 system!! It looks that ugly in the screenshots. It doesn't need DX10 at all to run, it's just MS trying to get exclusives to get people to upgrade :rolleyes:
