Crysis sound looping

Hi, im playing crysis in vista. The sound keeps getting stuck and repeating itself. It is spoiling the game for me. The graphics work fine. I have an integrated sound card. Does anyone else experience this?
please help, Its unbearable!

Have you tried updating DirectX or lowering your sound quality?

Btw we seem to be getting another thread for every individual question about Crysis here... what's going on?!

Happened to me the same as the Bioshock issue.

Only way I fixed it was reinstalling XP and not using Vista

Sorry about making another thread. I will try updating directx (I thought that was just graphics). Every sound quality does it.

Had this as well. Not in the demo or beta, just the full game. Works fine for me on DX9 though.

How do I play in dx9?

go to the games browser, right click crysis, choose play dx9

thanks. I managed to work it out. It helped considerably, but it still does it sometimes.
