I have noticed that at random intervals when playing Crysis that my sound goes haywire! It makes these very strange squealing sounds, jittering sounds, crackling noises, and other annoying sounds (at loud volumes) and them often cuts out for upwards of 2 minutes, before returning in a very annoying noisy fashion, much in the same way that the sound disappeared!
I thought that this might be something to do with my audio card, Creative X-Fi Fatala1y, but replaced this for a SoundMax card that came with my mobo, and still get the same problem.
Have lowered the master sound output from the game and the mixer controls within vista, but this also has not appeared to fix the problem.
I have the latest patch applied, 1.2, and the patch for 1.2, 1.2.1, but these also haven’t fixed the problem.
So my question is this, has anyone else got the same sort of problem as me, and is there a solution? Or is this a random error that affects Vista owners?
Thanks in advance
