Crysis (such a shame)

I have been playing first person shooters for 13 years now, and the one thing people should know, is that graphics isn't going to make a game. hence I loved crysis, because I wasn't expecting much.

theres nowt wrong with it. It was meant to come out in early 2007, it was delayed, its nearly 2008 now. So its later than schedule.
I dont have my very own copy yet, as I havnt had THAT much time lately, but enough to complete the SP, but I will definately buy it as I think its a great game, I can wait a little while for it to come down in price and for me to have more time on my hands though so Ill buy it when its a bit cheaper, online generally requires a few patches after release anyway.
As far as SP is concerned though, quality game.

I loved Crysis, constantly exciting throughout, just before you got bored of walking through the jungle they'd stick you in a tank or something. The alien city level bit went on about 30 mins to long for me but thats a minor complaint. Of course the major complaint is the ending, even worse than Halo 2's. Just had a really exciting battle, then a cutscene building up suspense and then....that was it!! I hope we don't have to wait to long until a second one.

I just powered up my new rig with Q6600 and 8800GT with 4gb and I am amazed at how great this game looks.
There are soooooo many little tweaks and nice effects in the game that I can only think that you guys are not looking close enough.
Water running of your goggles, smoke, the way your character lifts his gun when moving around objects, stunning explosions which explode and take buildings out equally amazingly, realistic fire, smoke, smoke haze from gun fire in woods which is effected by sun light as it breaks through the trees.
I have been playing games for 20+ years and there has never been anything as good as this in terms of graphics.
Yes, you need a good machine but that will always be the case when games companies are trying to show off what they can do. If you cannot afford the latest machines or kit then you have the choice of Xbox360 or PS3. If you dont like the consoles then you will have to save hard as there are harder things to come in life!
This game shows us whats ahead and I for one am seriously looking forward to future releases.
The games industry raved about this game for a reason... its the next generation and if you cannot see it then you must be playing with your eyes shut.
