Crysis - Trying to enable very high in dx9

Yeah, like the title says, I'm trying to attempt the tweak in which you copy the very high settings from the sys_spec files and paste it over the high settings.

The problem for me is that when I try to do this I get an error:

Cannot create the C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Game\Config\CvarGroups\sys_spec_GameEffects.cfg file

Make sure that the path and file name are correct.

Does anyone know what the problem is here? Because the path and file name are definately correct, and whenever I try to specifically overwrite the exact file, the same error occurs.

Just grab a custom cfg, it's much easier.

Are you running Vista? The problem may be that you're trying to save a file to a folder located in Program Files as Vista can sometimes ask for permission/throw up an error. Have you tried to save the file elsewhere and then copy it over, or delete the original before you try to move it across?
