So, bit of a COD and BF kind of person, never given Crysis a go, so thought i'd give it a shot on my new system. Looking to buy it from any store but there seems to be 3 versions available

Crysis Classics - £9
Crysis Warhead - £17
Crysis Maximum Edition - £15

Thought i'd give it a shot before Crysis 2 comes out, so can anyone tell me which of the above I should buy?

Thanks
Jimlad

Make sure you play on a hard (preferable delta) difficulty, and make use of all the powerups. This game isn't anywhere near as fun if you just snipe from a distance.

^^ This. Also make sure you grab this. Some nice enhancements, and most importantly cloak actually looks like cloak (at night at least :p) (makes some of the stealthing a lot of fun, can't elaborate due to spoilers though :D)

Have to admit for some reason Crysis did not do anything for me at all. Think i gave it an hour and aint played it since. I ran it all on max too. Don't let me put you off though most say it's a decent game and gorgeous!

Think my problem was I bought it with another 10 games i bought as soon as i built this new PC and just really aint had time!

Definitely play it on Delta the first time around, it's such a much better game that way and will last you longer.

A little tweak I do - you can manually alter the difficulty configs, to enable you to carry more than the 2 default weapons.
(Can't remember the exact cvar to edit - Google knows)

I mean come on.... bullet-deflecting super-suit of the century and you can only carry an assault rifle in your hands, 1 on your back and a pistol on your leg? :p I don't need a nano suit to do that!

Tends to be more useful later on, when you feel the need to have a Gauss rifle handy ;)

I've only just got to the alien bit. It seems pretty good tbh.

Thats when I lost interest in the first one tbh. Fighting the massive flying aliens with the Gauss gun was fun tho (think that was Warhead).

Have only just had a blast at the Crysiswars multiplayer (owned both games from release) and it seemed alright. Not my cup of tea but good none the less

Crysis goes from super awesome to super boredom
but i heard crysis warhead sorted that bit out, not played it ye tho,
still worth a run though if just for sight seeing :)

o and get get Crysis Maximum Edition

I never really got into either game. They're certainly impressive graphically but the gameplay was very average. The Maximum Edition has both games so that's probably the best bet.
