just downloaded ut3 demo and I can run it at full detail at 1280 1024,,, How much more complicated is crysis then ut? Would you say I have a good chance running crysis with med detail, if ut runs fine maxed out? See spec in sig

crysis beta runs a lot slower for me than ut3 demo does. but crysis looks far better than ut3.

i run crysis beta at high textures, low shadows, and all other settings on medium, framerate is all over the place, in some places it gets 60fps, it others it goes down to 15fps. overall average fps id say is 25fps. so its not very good, no AA and a rez of 1152x864.

You might be better off waiting till full demos or the retail release as most of the textures are cut down to save on filesize. You will have a better idea then.

I havntt tried any betas but apparntly crysis beta 1 dont use multi cpus. so with a bit of luck beta 3 and the single player demo thats out friday will use multi cpus, causing a huge performance boost.

Cos when I had my fx55 @ 2.78 (single core) DiRT ran really chuggy in the 6-8car races. Then when I got my opty 185 @ 2.78 DiRT (dual core) ran so much smoother in the 6-8car races.

Crysis beta runs on my rig on high settings at around 30fps average. Not seen UT3 dip under 100fps in empty maps. Not really had a chance to watch the fps online since I'm too busy shooting people.

Ignore the crysis problem with beta, the demo is out in 24hr I think and should run much better.

I guessing thats why the NDA was so prominent, they allready know its not running properly.

I hope it's not flippin' set back again :mad::mad:. That was murder last month but the demo release of CoD4 and UT3 done Crysis a huge favour for to settle the nerves of the people eagerly waiting. Roll on the demo release. I just hope it's out over the next 2 days as I'm testing my m8's GTX's. The only chance I'll get to play with some AA lol.

The Crysis beta runs a debugger and some extra stuff in the backround - wait untill the demo for a more realistc judgement.

cant wait for the demo purely to get an idea of graphical details my pc will be able to process. on the beta it makes minimal difference to my fps changing from all low to all high. on low detail it still runs on average 20 - 25 fps. on high it is the same?!

UT3 runs flawless on high settings, around 55-60 fps. however it is no Crysis which looks stunning on high settings. not seen any other game come close to rendering such amazing gfx

I can't see em delaying the demo again this time, as they have a whole page with a big countdown clock counting down the time left to the demo's release, be a bit of a shambles if the time runs out and demo's delayed again. :D

They just change the time or slow down the countdown :p

crysis Beta only use 1 core... the demo will use 4 for those who has 4 cores.... that mean more fps... a lot of more fps...

...assuming it's bottlenecked by the CPU. Might help with graphics as I think the drivers are optimised for multicore now.

UT3, crytech engine looks nice but that it, performance is horrible in the beta and no way will I give my money is developers who produce glorified tech demos.
