Warhead is not available on consoles. I believe Warhead is Crytek's last attempt at an exclusive PC title.
Finally, we get to the part of the review everyone wants to know about: performance. Crytek claims that Warhead is better optimized than Crysis, and everything I experienced confirms this. In fact, what's amazing is that Warhead not only runs better than Crysis, it looks better than Crysis. Keep in mind, a year has passed since Crysis shipped and there still isn't a non-Crytek game that approaches it in terms of visuals. Warhead features more definition to the terrain, and the lighting and particle effects have gotten big boosts. I found myself walking through jungle with the morning light piercing the canopy and had to stop and just absorb the moment. It had a level of atmosphere that I can't recall from the first game.
But did'nt they say that they could run the original on a 8800gts (old flavour) with settings on high and good FPS?
And still no confirmation on the release date, all the UK stores are saying the 26th. EA are saying the 12th for uk\europe and 16th for everywhere else. One of the crytek reps is meant to be finding out from EA what exactly is going on but no word back yet.
I'll belive it when i see it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!............
Crysis just got worse and worse for me the futher i got into the game! i gave up in the end! might go back to it one day.

you're clearly not a STALKER clear sky owner are you? thats the worse performing game i own by a mile, performs much worse than crysis and looks much worse, and people complain about cryteks coding, the performance of clear sky just goes to show IMO how good crytek did coding their engine![]()
We are all reading this correctly, right? Running at 1280 x 1024, high settings with what felt like 30fps.
Crysis already runs on high at that resolution at what feels like 30fps on a 8800GT. It's Very High at more modern resolutions that makes everyone go bananas.
well its only 14.99 so that doesnt inspire much confidence from me.
EA's decision (and a good one at that) to battle the piracy problems that riddled the first game
