Crysis Warhead: end cut scene issue?

was not paying too much attention to the cut scenes, something happened betwween oniel and psycho 4 years ago or something?
 
Yeh there are a few recordings throughout. But theyre only like 10 or so seconds long each.

its not psycho and nomad, its psycho and o'neill, something happened in the past that left o'neill out of there unit and nomad replaced him, not sure what it was or what a 'code blue' is, but sykes is much deeper character to nomad, is it too much to wish for a game based around prophet, would LOVE to know what happened to him, how he gained such a deep understanding of the aliens technology, +1 vote for crysis prophet edition! :D
 
ive noticed that they have completely forgot about the alien story, its like they just abandoned it.

i thought prophet was brainwashed or something by the aliens and really he is a spy for them or something

i dunno, something definately happened to him, but he never entered the alien ship, the only human that ever went in there was nomad (who is a legend), but its worth noting there names describe there stories a little, nomad story is very much a solo operation, very nomadic, hence the name. psychos story is a lot more action packed and shows some of his more aggressive nature, hence the name psycho, and prophet! well a prophet is someone who acts as a intermediate to divine beings and people, he seems more connected to the aliens, he knows them somehow, so his name prophet seems fitting, coincidence?

true the nomad and psycho stories do suit each name. prophet tho, he is deffos more connected to the aliens, he survived one of those big flying ones and reversed engineered the gun, see this is what makes me think he is a spy, on the ship in crysis he just says he is a natural when asked how he did it, then he goes back to fight them. how do we know he has gone back to fight them, he knew the nuke would not damage the sphere, maybe he went back to tell the aliens a nuke is on its way. and then you hear him in warhead whining for a heat source again, never seeing him fighting

im prolly wrong, the only thing up with the prophet suggestion is that a prophet would not go against the devine, and prophet does supposedly. meh the aliens have tinkered with him, as if he battered that big flying alien, he didnt even have a rail gun

the part in warhead is the parallel story with nomad/prophet escaping the ice sphere, when you have to guide prophet through the area with a broken nanosuit and stopping him freezing to death :) but i don't think hes a spy, to me it wasn't like that, it was more like he'd learned something deeply disturbing while on the island, i agree he knew the nuke would do nothing but somehow knows how to fight them. and killing a MOAC armed squiddie isn't too hard with SCAR, especially someone as 'seasoned' as prophet, god damnit i now feel they NEED to make a prophet game, just to fill in the blanks, theres no point in making one for aztec/jester though :D
 
oh right i see so warhead is about sykes actions whilst nomad was doing what he was doing in crysis, both taking place at the same time, silly me. no wonder there was no progress in the alien story

yeah actually i took a few flying squids down just with a scar, but that was me i am more skilled than prophet :)

yeah i agree he has learned something. didnt he hint that somehow in crysis, cant remember how he hinted it

so whats the news on the next crysis installment, next September right?

didn't know it was due next september?! :eek: did you finish warhead? cause the PAX is immense!
 
No news on any next crysis installment, far as we know the next one will be crysis 2. No timeframe for it though.

man i hope theres a 'prophet' one before that or same time as that, similar to warhead (price, etc) need to play though as prophet!

september was just a guess, because warhead was out a year after crysis.

yeah i completed it on delta in a few hours. too easy especially now that the enemies dont take a full clip to kill.


yeah the pax was cool. does it fire a ball of plasma or whatever that explodes at a set time, meaning if fired from too far it explodes early, and there was always three flares that came from the explosion.

:eek: the MOAC was immense, infinite ammo and ridiculous rate of fire! yeah the PAX fires a plasma bolt that im assuming looses containment after a set distance, unless it hits something on the way. using the PAX i felt true power, plus it makes a sweet noise when it shoots and everything it touches explodes!
 
damage was not great tho, maybe i was missing because its hard to see where you are firing with taht gun. the gun sounds seemed very low to me, but then again you are in a suit so they would be, but i wanted them louder

Mine was really loud and bassy on my DT770 headphones :)
