Crysis Warhead - Stupid Question

Marginally though, it'll still look great; and if you really want to, you can edit the ini to get very high settings. Don't know how exactly, but Google can tell you.

With your spec i doubt your system will be able to take advantage of the highest graphics setting that is only available in Vista. Stick with XP, even if your system could run it on the 'ultra high' setting Vista supplies, the picture quality difference won't be great enough to warrant a whole new operating system.

Oi, less digs at the lameness of Crysis unmodded :p

I can run it pretty happily, rig in sig @ 1440 x 900, only creaks a little occasionally - admittedly with CCC mod installed, looks gorgeous though.

Hope Warhead actually has optimized the engine, I'll be getting this as soon as its out!

It is still slightly better on DX10 even with the Very High DX9 hack, its very subtle though, its in the motion blur so it wont show up at all in screenshots.

Probably won't notice it though :p

Pretty much what i was going to say!

On the original crysis, I didn't see any difference at all using the very high hack in xp and the very high settings in vista. No difference in motion blur, or effects that screenshots don't show. I got less FPS in vista, Vista sucks with this game. Stick with XP and the CCC v2.21 mod for crysis. No doubt a mod similar to the CCC one will be put together for warhead to get the same effects under xp.

This will give you an idea of the visual differences between dx9 and dx10
