Don't know if any of you have tried this yet but Vista x64 + SP1 BETA + ForceWare 169.25 it could not run any better it runs better on this than it does on my XP x64:D

Just thought i would let you all know about it because i think some of the hotfixes that are in SP1 have helped it.

Edit: Crysis with Vista SP1 = way better performance

I would say about 15% it is the same as XP performance now i know that is a bold claim lol but it is true may be a little better than XP just a little tho.

You sure it performs better, and its not just Wishful seeing? so many driver updates, and every time people claim to have better fps, followed by benchmarks that proof there are no fps gains.

I am not saying there are more fps well there may be 1 or 2 i am saying it runs nicer and faster than it did b4 SP1 RC1 and the performance is the same as XP now.:)

Maybe this was what crytek were waiting for to make it run better who knows.

Everyone knows that Crysis ran better on xp than vista but since installing SP1 the game runs the same as XP. Also when I said 15% I mean vista was 15% below XP but now it is the same thanks to SP1.

I hope this cleared things up:)

They used 1gb of RAM, 'nuff said.

They said later on they added another GB of ram and it was more or less the same

"By providing Vista (SP1) with an additional 1GB of RAM (that's a total of 2GB for those of you keeping score) we managed to achieve a "whopping" 4% improvement in OfficeBench throughput. Moving from Office 2007 to Office 2003 definitely improved Vista's showing. Instead of being over 2x slower than XP on the same OfficeBench workload, Vista is now "only" 1.8x slower", the Devil Mountain Software added.

Edit; Beaten :(
