Hi Guys,

Just started up the demo, thought I might as well give it ago..

Just WOW! :eek::eek:

Brilliant game, effects ect. I will definitely be buying this game on launch date. I turned all settings to high in Vista with DX10 = :eek: Very nice.

Also my machine surprised me a lot when it played the game with all settings turned to high. Looks and plays very well. :)

Right, going back to play it some more!

I kinda agree and kinda don't (you could be more polite). IMO gigantic threads just discourage discussion by people who were not in on it from the start. Maybe a forum rule saying a single thread cannot go beyond 20 pages or something.

Either way, Crysis SP demo is awesome :p graphics are outstanding but what really makes a difference is their attention to the little details that help produce a more realistic atmosphere than any game to date.
 
Thread title was spot on, concise, accurate, explanatory. I knew what i was getting when i came in here. A crysis.

It is indeed rather impressive, it isn't as forgiving to my system as it seems to be to yours however.

I too am discouraged to read a thread that is pages and pages long, people should be able to start as many threads as they wish... within reason!!!

I have it on preorder!!

Have you installed the new Demo 5 fun map (or whatever its called) and played the game using all the other weapons...? thats a whole lot of fun. There are Helicopters and tanks with Nuclear missiles.. is fantastic..great fun!!

No I haven't installed anything else to the game, Will just wait for the full release of the game an get it. Very nice game though, loving it. :)


It's a shame about people's attitudes on these forums, it really puts the place down. Nevermind though...
 
I think I need help.

I have a lot of coursework to do... in for Wednesday..

But I keep playing the demo.....

....And I haven't even loaded up the hidden map or the sandbox editor...

Help!! :o

ive been running this with my GTX on very high, just shaders and post processing on high, runs smoothly, altho i get a lot of graphical glitches.
 
What setting should I expect this to run on with my comp (spec in sig)? ATM im usually getting 20fps with almost everything set to very high. Only 3 that are tuned to high are shadows, water and sound.

Its running a bit sketchy though.
