One thing I noticed when I had poor performance on my 640mb gts was that even though it looked like it was full screen, for some reason it was running in window (could only just see the edges of it).

Basically make sure you've got the fullscreen box ticked in the options.

Basic, but easy mistake to make.

I have 2gb of mem with a HIS 512MB x1900xt card overclocked to the xt version,, and it runs really well at 1024x768, 2xAA, Everything on high accept for shadows on low, post processing on medium, shaders medium.

Ive been playing it for 3 or 4 hours at a time, and I dont notice any slowdown, I get between 20 -30fps always, on the odd ocassion it drops below that, but im very impressed how well it runs on my 3yr old system. See system in sig.

shaders and post processing to medium and it should give playble fps though. except for that one level which was very demanding.

its more to do with hardware, but thanks for the constructive waste of bandwidth ;)
Thanks for all replies, I guess the answer is more physical memory!

I played it on a 640mb evga 8800gts and now am 8800gt the gt is definitely smoother only time i got slowdown was in some huts near that bit with the nano suit guys on the roofs trying to snipe you as you go along the railway tracks.

Been playing this since it arrived yesterday and it is fine so far....early levels though. In fact I am liking it a lot.

Interestingly I am still on the 169.02 driver that came in the box with my card. Dowloaded .21 but never installed after reading here. Maybe grabbing the latest driver is not the best course of action??
