Is this game worth ago? I understand it's not as good as everyone was expecting, but since ive never played it is it still worth a purchase? Or is it a bargin bin kind of game

What other games should i get? I've played COH, i hear mass effect is good? What else should a pc game own? (Ive got all the steam stufF)

Try and do what I did...And get it cheap, say a tenner or so :p

I enjoyed it, but I did tweak the game a fair bit to make it look / run better.

Remember adding AA is a real killer on this game so dont add any and just put all other settings to very high the game looks great even without it:)

If you like military shooters its great up until the last 1/4 of the game. I won't spoil it for you but for me it went downhill after that. But nothing quite like sneaking around an encampment and using a silenced rifle to shoot the petrol tank on a jeep and watching the chaos ensue. Its as bout as close to that scene in predator where arnie rolls the jeep with bomb attached, as gaming gets. :D

I just finished Crysis for a second time today. It's not as good as I hoped it had of been and is so badly optimised it's silly, but yes I'd definitely give a whirl as it can be very good fun.

[/quote]Mass Effect is one of the best RPG Sci-Fi games I've ever played, if you're into that type of game then it's a definite buy. Have you got/played Call of Duty 4? That is another great game. BioShock was another epic game if you've not played that.

try the demo if to see if it suits your liking
but personally from me yes, becaus ei thought the singleplayer was pretty good nad loved the cinematic peices could really only play it at medium acceptable on my 8800gts 320mb version but still worth it.

I played bioshock on the 360 and COD4 on the ps3 :D

Hah! I'll tell you one thing, if you manage to catch a frog...Don't throw it ;)

You won't be seeing it again.

i think the next one will be far better.. people complain becuase it will be on consoles, but THATS WHAT WE NEED.. look Call of duty 4.. amazing graphics, amazing performance.. because the developers have to ensure it runs well on "average hardware" (consoles) so i'd think the next one , if it is let onto consoles should run far better... any one see where im coming from/ agree?

Em, It's not going to be on consoles. Another PC exclusive IIRC.

From what it sounds like you're saying is that the PC gamer benefits from developers also developing games for consoles - I wouldn't really agree when you look at stuff like Vegas as the just port it over and it's normally horribly unoptimised with not a lot of settings to change. Call of Duty 4 was just made for the PC as well as they made it for the consoles, not developing it on a console wouldn't have made any difference to the PC version.

But yes the next Crysis will be much better, or should. There's little way they can make it less unoptimised. They did acknowledge the first was poorly written and could have done with a lot more tweaks - so hopefully they take that into consideration for Warhead.
