Crystal Castles on the edge or off it??

Do you think Crystal Castles are experimental or just terrible??
Personally I'm a fan of both their albums

They're definitely not terrible, though I'm not a fan of ALL of the first album.
Most of their music makes me feel really anxious, don't know weather this is a desired effect

I get annoyed with the name as it reminds me of Crystal Stilts and Crystal Antlers who are lots of fun to listen too.

Crystal Castles just annoy me a little as they sound like broadcast with mgmt breaking the show. Technically that is a compliment as mgmt have one saving grace that Peter Kember took them over and made them sound sort of sensible (and the random noises in Crystal Castles reminds me of this a little), plus Broadcast are a really good band, but I'm not much of a fan of Crystal Castles as they seem to sound a bit on the lazy side of music (bit like a Nathan Barley production) so there's too much messing about on a keyboard to be "striking" and not enough decent music.

I've never heard their music, but if it's as original as their name it can't be particularly interesting.

'Baptism', 'Vanished' and 'Not in Love' ft. Robert Smith are great, chaotic tracks.

I'm not convinced by all of their back catalogue though- as with many brilliant artists, they can be terrible at times, with perforating glimpses of sheer brilliance.
