CS 1.6 Keyboard issue?!

I re-installed this last night on my PC, and fired up and joined a game.

Started to run forward, and i slowed down and stopped (my finger was still pressed on the W key)

Tried again, moved forward a few steps, then slowed and stopped again...

I am using an MS wireless laser keyboard 6000 v2, any ideas?

My keyboard does this when batteries are low.
