I enjoyed playing in our group last night, what struck me was the big difference in skill level between what I was used to playing and the game last night. In particular it was apparent that you need to use smoke grenades more effectively to cover your runs as you don't get a 2nd chance against the better players.

Yeah, grenades are very important. For example its worth spending a smoke to cover ct when going long on dust 2 as T. You can chuck a nade at double doors when going long as T (makes a lot of damage to unarmoured opponents). If you are 1v1 awping, chuck a flash, let it go then peek. He will probably not shoot or try and go for some cover, you can get him easy. Shifting/crouching is quite important when trying to sneak up on enemies :p

I would suggest watching some pro player streams. NiPTV on Twitch is a great way to learn a lot about the game. The casters ar very knowledgeable and help a ton.
 
Had my first competitive with a few of the lads from here on Saturday. Safe to say, I have the bug again! Need to be at Diggzi's level! Carried us big style! Looking forward to playing more.

Deagle is just a junk gun now isnt it or is that just me lol, I use it only when doing throw away rounds. The auto p250 is the best, long range maybe five seven.
Try eagle but only when bored imo

Famas I used to think was junk but that can be useful now I think, AK is a bit like P90 with more kick and the two shot burst at the start is pretty much the most lethal thing in the game imo though u cant jump around too much with it. AK is my fav gun right from beta as the full auto can clear the entire room if its done right and with some luck even a noob can own :p

Congrats on your rank up. That game yesterday was a demote for me but I was overdue and I dont mind wiping out some silvers, though I get slotted into nova regardless

The AK and P90 are nothing like each other :p Its like saying the awp and ak are similar because 1 bullet to the head kills with both. You shouldn't be jumping around with any gun.
