CS:GO Discussion

im toying with either an Asus VGblahblah 27" 144hz or the LG 29blahblah 21:9 jobby 60hz.

need to get the wife to sign it off first which may be an issue but its my birthday at the end of the month as she's been asking what i want.

either that or going for one of the cheaper 24" 144hz ones. id love to go dual 24's but wife would defoo never agree

I always thought you are like 19. Then someone told my you have a young kid (and whilst 19 y/o have kids, I noticed you were older )

Can't answer your question. I have a 60Hz monitor.

one of csgo m8ths from scotland bought a knife worth 1200 £ , and one month before he asked me what monitor you recommend i said rog swift he said was over 600 £ and it was to expensive

some people are weird spending so much on item that doesn't gain you anything and its not real .

Played CS:S for 5 years and stopped gaming for a bit then I find CS:GO has come out. Did not like it one bit at first, but you get use to it. still using an iiyama 454 CRT Monitor :D

I am a noob and have played CSS a bit a while back but never really played it properly.

Do you need to be really good in order to play CS GO?

Not at all, like anything nobody starts off good,

Watch a couple of basic tutorial bids on Youtube, I like the warowls videos personally, then just add a few of us from here, I'm spudwave on steam, and just get playing, we have players from all ability levels, and we are all happy to help each other learn :D

Cash to splash plus I've been really lucky with skins. The one I bought for £30 (with money from sold skins) I could now sell for £45 and I'd imagine shortly even more as there are only 50 Master Piece's left on the market in any condition.

HNNNNNNGGGG That is the one skin I REALLY want

Don't worry Tom it got a ranking system so competitive matches you get pair to people around the same level. If you played cs css before your going to be fine

It be frustrating at first but once you get use to it, it really is satisfying as it is the grandaddy of multiplay competitive gaming imo

My advice work on

Getting to know the map and also work on your aiming. Bursts work well but depends on the gun.

I personally play with a very low sensitivity which can make it super accurate.

For somebody who played a lot of CS Source, will it take some time to get into CS:GO???

(I'm buying a new computer and getting back into PC gaming)

No,
Same deal will need to relearn spray patterns, relearn the tweaks to the base maps. Thats about it most of the gameplay mechanics are the same/similar.

I played a hell of a lot of source and I found it quite challenging adjusting to GO. All gun dynamics are completely different and due to boxes and obstacles being strange heights and more complex all my pre aim reference points went out of the window and I had to relearn. At first I hated GO, now I like it a lot.

Dont do buffering or v sync. aim for over 100 fps, net_GRaph 1 in console
Arms race is very quick practise and maybe shows which gun you should use or avoid. I take forever to get glock kill, now I think burst hs is best use
Negev full spray hits just above my crosshair I realised, maybe good or comfortable crosshair is a good tip for new player:

Get 144 or 120hz. It'll shave some time off your reactions only like 10ms I think so maybe not that important till higher ranks. Im on 60 too
