CS:GO Discussion

Interesting, I played Day of Defeat and plenty of CS back on the original HL engine. DoD:Source and CS:Source I disliked. But currently really enjoying CS:GO.

The movement in the original and currently in GO I find normal. Source felt really really odd.

They seem to have pushed 1 by 1 vs shoxie almost exactly in time with the awp firing rate, just wish people wouldnt do that or try to avoid it though banana forces bad moves. Of course he is amazing

They all fine just depending on server client settings, there was a lot more detail you could set in the original to be turning mid air and stuff. I prefer it now mostly

its always good to get a vac ban wave and see people banned for hacking.

doesn't help though when they give CSGO away and put it on offer twice in the last 3 weeks though

On another note when I hit 20 wins will my rank get recalibrated again do you think?

Was on a good win streak until yesterday lost my 1st match in what feels like ages, random MM puting me in a lobby full of what I can only guess was russian kids had no chance!

Really starting to feel like my aim is starting to improve a lot which is nice. Definatley helped lowering my dpi on my mouse.
 
Keep getting this weird stuttering recently?! Not changed a single thing, really bugging me. I play on 144hz so it's noticeable. It's not network lag, or fps lag, really hard to explain.

It promotes your rank as you win/draw, not on a set amount of wins.

Try changing mm_dedicated_search_maxping to 50 or less. Might help avoid getting stuck with further away servers although nothing you can do if those Russian kids set theirs to 800. :rolleyes:

They've changed the minimum to 50 now :(

Quite annoying, I loved having it set to 20ms before and getting nothing but Dutch servers, always the best on MM! Now I keep getting German / Scandinavian ones :(

Not sure its the biggest ban, just they took out some high level hacks that normally stay well out of vac range. Some famous hackers apparently, bit of a power struggle between coders with some helping valve to catch the others?
Probably due to some of the advance from dreamhack time, hopefully they'll keep gaining because I think theres plenty left
