CS:GO Discussion

Just starting to get in to this now but finding it frustrating trying to get these first 10 competitive wins out the way!

Last 4 games I have been put with complete numpty's

Why is the skill jump so apparent between casual and competitive? I can hold my own against most in casual but in the few competitive games I've played I've been absolutely destroyed. I've taken to watching TheWarOwl tutorials and a few others which has helped massively but competitive is soul destroyingly hard still.

i had that a few months back. had to delete my steam install in the end. its probably the .blob file to be fair, but i just got rid of the lot and reinstalled.

note if you're going to do that then move your steamApps folder out of the steam folder first and move it back after the reinstall.

Came to post this but you beat me to it. Good news :D

ESEA has announced that it has handed bans to all those caught red-handed in the match-fixing scandal involving the former iBUYPOWER team.

The move follows Valve's decision to ban four ex-iBUYPOWER members and Torqued's Derek "dboorN" Boorn from all future majors after it was discovered that they were involved in a betting ring.

All seven people who received bans from Valve have now been barred by ESEA for a period of one year following "malicious activities."

This comes as an immeasurable blow to the players involved, who will be unable to part in the most important domestic league, with CEVO expected to follow suit and announce bans as well.

According to a statement issued by ESEA, even though the bans have been issued for just a year, it reserves the right to extend them "indefinitely".

"To be clear, after these events originally took place in August, 2014, ESEA put into place a policy that explicitly prohibited players, team managers, or team sponsors from betting on their own matches," ESEA adds.

"We strongly encourage all organizations, regardless of their affiliation with Valve, to mirror and enforce these bans so that a clear message is sent -- there is no place for match fixing in professional gaming. "
