I just deranked back to nova 2 Im more often playing arms race then comp at the moment though

90 hours sounds fine, I think a lot of advancement is to do with quality of play. Im just trying to learn clever smokes or good technique for 'fishing' kills, nades seem the best leveragable tactic to learn.

I started s4 and deranked to s3, upto gn2 in a month then back to silver and up after another 40 mm wins eventually to nova again :o
Does Faceit have rank ? Esea RWS is about 5 noob anything below MG 8 is bottom fragger 10 good 15 global elite 25 perfection, pro or cheating [ in 2015 ESEA will have 79 ranks, new system apparently. I think the head guy wants less elitism, its not profitable]

It's good, it will test you more than MM ever does. My BF mates and I have been doing pretty well lately on it, beating Globals / SMFC's regularly but not last night. Last night we came up against 4 Enro Griffins (top german team) members and one of their mates and got smashed. That said, I learnt more in that game versus them than I have in pretty much every other game.
 
Just joined set up my FACEIT so I don't feel left out. :D
Definately would like to start hooking up with regulars a bit more now I have popped my mic cherry. That "Ended social anxiety" thread on reddit struck a chord with me. :)
Enjoyed that game last night Cleverballs.
 
Rarely venture out of Motors, but I saw this thread and thought I would say Hi as I have been playing a lot of CS:GO lately.

Used to be pretty good back in the beta versions of CS and have got back into it, slowly improving again.

So. . without reading a whole lot of thread, whats Faceit?
 
Valve give you 64 tick matchmaking server. FaceIt / ESEA / ESL / CEVO are alternate services that offer 128 tick servers (server update refresh rate / higher = better) and "generally" a better level of player / opposition although it's still as randy as MM for that.
 
Interesting, so you still use the normal CS client?

Will get it installed, still not at a great standard yet but definitely improving each game :D

Sure do, all you have to do is copy + paste "CONNECT ********" (*** is the ip). Never use the play button from faceit / esea as launching from a 3rd party can kill FPS. But yeah I think most people here play MM as well but with a recent update if there is a rank difference of more than 4 ranks you can't paly together unless in a full party.
