This is why I am forever silver.

Even if I have a brilliant streak of great play and top frag+points I get let down by moron teammates.

Then the ranks show up and I'm playing against a stack of higher rank novas and I'm stuck with a stack of lower tier silvers and maybe one player with a similar rank to me if I'm lucky.

I wouldn't mind so much if I was being pitted against a team a few ranks ahead of me as long as the team I had to work with were all the same skill level as me.

Very frustrating.
 
I've not found the match making to be that bad, even when playing with a friend two ranks below me. However my current decent team:rubbish team ratio is heavily in favour of the latter. I was probably one game off going up a rank last week, then I had four absolutely terrible games with useless team mates. I think I've been Gold Nova 3 for three months now, but maybe that's just telling me that is only how good I am. My headshot percentage is slowly going up though, over 50% at the moment.

I'm a slightly wiser player in Global Offensive, but much better at getting shots on target in Source.
 
this is why I try to play with a pre made team before as then you know the people you play with and what they are like.

I have managed to keep my gold nova 2 rank for awhile now, lost 1 match last night and then won 2 matches after.

the game is on sale at the monet for £5.99 so expect smurfs and hackers to re appear!

I have done some matches with randims if I have operations to do like at the moment I have to win a match on façade, I hate the map! lol

if I remember correctly they re did the hit boxes on GO and made them smaller compared to source which is why its harder to get shots on target or to register on poor servers
 
Decided to open a couple of cases last night. Got a statrak m4a4 griffin. A non stat track griffin. A glock grinder. And a couple of poop things.

Can we bet the griffins now?
 
Don't think so Joel, though not 100% sure as I haven't checked/tried in the last 48hours.

Know I can't bet my Glock ST Grinder though.

I've got £40 of credit in my steam wallet from xmas gifts, tempted to spend it all on keys and open 25 cases to see what rubbish I get, will ofcourse film it for your entertainment.
 
the Zowie FK1 arrived. I've still got to get used to it like any new hardware but it just feels way more comfortable than the mionix naos ever did.

I did the maths on my mouse sens so it should theoretically be exactly the same but this still feels higher. Maybe it's the lower friction with my pad, glides easier than my old one.

Signs are positive though, hitting snap shots I just wasn't before.
 
I've just got used to my Zowie FK1 and not noticed any real difference in sensitity using the same 400Dpi as its predecessor (RAT7).

Yeah I was forced to change DPI as my old mouse was 1200. 800 now but have adjusted in-game sens so overall it's the same. Honestly I think it's just this mouse moves easier over my pad.

Different mice have different sensors that will report their 400DPI differently. Some will actually be 380dpi and some might be 420dpi. Its best just to know your sensitivity via cm/360 this way you remove the random hardware element. I just set up every game with a ruler on the mouse mat.

No more annoying Russians your soloq MM's. Played 5 game since I used this and won em all because of people using mics and doing normal english callouts.

Been using it for a few days, Just got 3 Russians today in my game and as ever just shouting there garbage through the mic.:o
