CS:GO Discussion

Thought the semi was better than the final , really wish VP didnt **** up vs fanatic - would have made for a crazy final imo.
No drops this time but w/e, bought a crap load of stickers though!

What happened?

That's the guy where when he's on screen twitch chat spams oink right?

Nope. The oink guy is JW, hack guy is Flusha.

JW is just hated for his looks.

Flusha had some major witch hunt going on because a bunch of gifs showed that he was kind of aim locking on the heads of opponents through the wall. Many people thought he was hacking. Some pros also gave an indication saying that they thought that something fishy was going on. pita, then coach of NiP, said on twitter that he is 100% sure FLusha is hacking and that he should be banned. His answer was simply "I don't hack, I raise my mouse a lot" which isn't really relevant to what people saw. This was over 6 months ago iirc, and till today, he still doesn't have any ESL/ESEA/VAC ban, so everybody now thinks he is clean.

I watched every single game and didn't get a single drop! Congrats to those that did though.

I should be online tonight after not playing due to watching ESL; I've got some new stickers to show off!

I have played cs on and off for years but only for pub games. I would really like to join a team or just play with some regulars that won't spam like crazy when i do something wrong. Any help on what i should do?

the only thing you can do is practice the maps and learn the calls referring to certain parts of the map.

might also be worth looking at the flash\smoke areas as well.

have you played a MM match before? quite a few people play on here each night including me.

I normally tend to avoid solo queuing for MM matches as it never goes well, if there is no one on with a free space I go play another game or call it a night as playing with Russians is never fun lol

I've not been playing long and I'm about to rank up into competitive from casual. I'm hoping this will see me matched with similar levels of skill in game. I've been playing a lot of arms race and I usually manage to end up in the top 2 or 3 players. But when I play casual I don't tend to do too well. Any advice on how to improve? Any good tactical videos I should watch or a good link to nade spots as well?

I'm happy to do mm with anyone else low ranking. I'm just eager to learn and improve as I have a good amount of free time these days to play.

I remember that, It was ridiculous then and even more so now. It was such shoddy evidence.

When you disable textures, walls etc and then edit it considerably - most players look like they are hacking.

don't arms race (that's just fun). Do deathmatch. I always do at least 2 rounds of deathmatch before i go competitive. Play only main weapons: awp, m4a1s/ak47 with default pistols.
also i would recommend playing deathmatch with no sound or as little as possible. I use deathmatch only for aim/reflex. If you want to understand tactics and crap like that watch some BO5 of CS 1.6 and try to understand as much as possible. CSGO only became very tactical not so long ago.
I played 1.6 a very long time before csgo and a lot of competitive (like 1 summer 6 hours a day easy only 5v5s), that helped me understand where you should attack/hold, and where these places fit you best(try and test multiple places during game, and apply the best).
Because now you can find very easy vods and stuff like that looking at 1-2 players how and where they hold/attack sites would probably help you fast.

don't lose hope, and try to not get frustrated(impossible i know, i went ham on a kid on Sunday). Try your best, practice makes you better.
Also what I found out about myself, i need breaks, as in after 2-3 months of playing, if I take 1-2 weeks in which i don't play at all, i raise my level a little.

finally ranked up again the other night, now MGE and should be on tonight if anyone wants to tag along for a match

maybe tonight at 9-10 i'll play a game or two. I'm LE if it doesn't bother you.

Thanks for that. I'll stick to death match tonight and try to apply what you've suggested.
