Hi guys,

I have just purchased a copy of CS GO for my son and he's running it on my wife's PC. I'm running my copy on my PC that's on the same network. I'm having trouble setting up a game with him.

I select Play > Play with friends and it sets up a lobby.

I'm able to send an invite and my son can join the lobby. We can communicate back and forth okay.

I choose the Game Setting option and select the defuse option.

I return to the lobby and change Permissions from Public to Private.

I then select Go.

My game starts up, but I get a message on my sons PC that I'm not playing on a server.

I try setting up a game on my sons account, set up exactly the same as above. He gets into the game, mine times out after 10 tries.

Am I doing something wrong?

Help!

Nice one guys, I'll try it in the morning.

What I would like to do ideally would be to play with my son on the same network, plus a couple of friends located elsewhere plus pad the rest out with bots. Is there not a way of setting this up?
