CS:GO - Why can I not get this game to work?!

Hi,

I've been having nothing but difficulties getting this game working since it was released. I gave up about a year ago but recently after starting Source again realised how much I miss it and really want to play GO.

The main issue that I'm hitting is same that my pak01_0**.vpk does not match the server's file, and also another error saying that some file signatures are not present/invalid and so am unable to join VAC servers.

I've tried the usual fixes several times such as:
- Validating integrity of game cache
- Re-installing on several different HDD's
- Ran a memtest86 which came back absolutely fine
- Disabling all background applications

So please....HELP! I'm really lost with this now and I want to play

Done that one and it didn't make any difference

Delete all .pak files and then re-validate game cache.

I would also check C:Libraries\Documents for any file relating to CS GO, and delete that.
