CS:S.... cheating and steam bans

Well fair enough i guess, obviously any sort of speedhack is obviously a cheat and cant be any other reason. I spose i dont play enough anymore to catch cheats but even when i did, i very rarely if ever encountered cheats including speedhackers. Guess i am just lucky, i used to play for insertCOIN after being an enemydown hero for an age then high-skilled half-arsed teams with the likes of Jimmy/xtr from rokslide and the infamous ritch (genius) - for whoever it was who asked.
 
Funny was on a server today who had an obvious cheater with his aim bot.
he head shot me & auto spectated on the guy & could see the cross-hair jerking around.

As to not seeing many hackers, i've seen 2 in the last week. They were blatant hackers who got to the point where everyone knew it and they "came out" and just annihalated the entire team within a few seconds. Watching him through spectator cam was ceasure-inducing as he spun round so damn fast pausing briefly for half a second or so to fire off a single headshot at someone who was just behind a wall. The other team combatted this with their other hacker and it was more of a demonstration on who had the quickest hack.... still it was nice when i managed to headshot the first hacker........ twice :D
 
Ive noticed the amount of cheaters (Not calling them hackers) on CS:S Seems to be quite high at the moment. It could be because our GunGame server is ranked pretty high. The most common one is the aimbot. Ive only seen one speedhacker, and it was just so funny to watch. Do these people honestly think that we wont notice . . . . ?
There seems to be a sharp rise in the HOLD-DOWN-LMB-AND-HEADSHOT-THE-ENTIRE-TEAM. Funny as hell to watch. But oh so sad. Soon as we notice, its a quick demo, just in case they decide to come to our forums and complain, then its off with their heads. :D

I'm afraid i'm not CPL standard by any means, however I have had 2 years of CAL-IM experiance and play CAL-O with my team atm. Never done TWL, but next year I might be doing 3v3 pistols ladder, should be pretty easy as TWL is renowned for bad players :D

dont have to wait till next year for the next lan i32 is november ;) im gunna be there myself with xS.X hopefully, cant wait. My last one was i30 with Surrounded
 
Yeah i can't stand people who have a go at you accusing you of hacking when you are just a good player. It seems that according to a lot of people out there that a player with a good score must be hacking. So that means all the pros hack too...

There does seem to be a lot of accusations being thown around on servers of people cheating all the time on a lot of games too. I chose to blame it on ignorance and take it as a compliment. In the past 5-6years i have not come accross many people who i would call a cheat, and infact have never typed it in. Although myself have been called it regularly.

Just as a side point on spearhead i used to score around 80kills in 20mins on a 20man server which is an adaquate score, after being called a cheat all the time . I decided to look into the code to see how easy it was to cheat and as it tuck 5mins i made and put in a wallhacked custom skin and tried it. The first thing i noticed is its incredibly boring i got 200kill and no deaths.
 
There's plenty of cheaters out there just stealth wallhacking
not making it too obvious that are wallhacking so it's hard to catch them
you will never stop or know who's cheating and who is not
so you must take cs with a pinch of salt and just play for fun.
As for anti cheat detection i think there's ways to cheat via a usb stick
which will never be detected.

would like to see you get that on egc office only 24/7.
 
You know Steam ID's, and the smaller the number the "better" and how much less likely it is to have been banned or whatever...

..well, why? Why's it less likely to have been banned just 'cos its a lower number? And why's it otherwise "better"?
 
Old Steam ID's = Short ID's
New Steam ID's = Long ID's

If you have a long steam ID and are good at the game, then you MUST be a cheat and have had your old account banned and had to get a newer account. :rolleyes:

Some people also use the opposite logic. You can go out and buy a short Steam ID (god knows why you'd want to). And then when anyone accuses you of cheating you can say 'look at my 1337 SteamID - I'm oldskool pr0 m8!!1one1' :rolleyes:
 
do valve even bother looking at demos ?

as far as im aware the only way you'll get a global ban and have your account locked is when playing on a server with VAC, that it detects a know cheat loaded into the game. If your using some new or obscure cheat, then you wont get found out. You may well get banned from that server if it has admins on it

but afaik theres no way you can innocently get a global ban on your account. unless of course "your brother" installed the cheats :D
