CS:S demo rec

how do you get the name of the person your demoing onto the recording. is this something the server admins turn off or do you need a command to enable it?

was hoping to fraps it all together from demos but with the names intact and maybe overlay the steam IDs.

Start recording

Then type "status" into console

That adds all the players SteamID's and names into the demo

The player that you're watching should have their name show up at the bottom of the screen. Or whenever they kill anyone then you should be able to see the name in the top right (Player X killed Player Y).

At least thats how it works in CS - can't see why CS:S should be different.

ok this is where i'm getting kinda screwed, the names are not visable at the bottom centre as normal, making me think it's something to do with server admins. while i'm demoing no player names are shown(blank screen)

how do i reenable the player names?
