CS:S - loads of spectators?

I loaded up CS:S for a quick game the other day - my usual server was full, but not of players, only 5 or so people were actually playing - the other 11 spots taken up by spectators...

Has something changed recently? I joined another server and the same thing - at least 10 spectators just sitting there...?

There is a mod that puts fake players in the spectators to get people to join.

Yeah it's annoying, like when you see a 8/16 server only to find 6 of the 8 people in there are bots.

There are ones that aren't even bots, just 10 spectators.

yeah looks like bots... shame really, I remember some of these servers being full. I guess the players have moved on for whatever reason.

I tried jolt but got the usual 'he hacks voteban' rubbish

Any good public servers?

The Grumpy Old Gits is the server i play on. Great bunch of guys, loads of fun, mostly full after 7, tactical gameplay really no rambo style and lots of talk on the mic (not silly stuff but to do with the game really).

try efrag CPC server, it is pretty good. dont play there much now though as im into gunmod
