CS:S on Macbook?

Tried installing this on my Windows partition through boot camp after seeing people saying they got it working fine, but downloaded it through steam and once I start it after a few seconds I get a memory error? Tried updating windows and making sure DX version is up to date. Anyone got any ideas? I've 2GB in my Macbook.

haven't tried css but I doubt the on board gfx will give u smooth game play. Can just about run cs 1.6 on mine.

what graphics card does the macbook have? is it shared? if it doesn't meet miimum spec, I doubt the game will start

It is shared, yup.

But, I used to run it on max settings on a nVidia GeForce 5500.

I got it running on my new one last night,
running in crossover, getting 20-40 fps on de_cbble everything on low, HDR off, with a server of about 25 people and at the native res of 1280x800

So its def playable, no doubt with a fps maxing config, it would be over 35 constant

So def room for improvment.
