CS:S Recent Changes? - walking

havnt rteally played it much due to exams over the last week, but ive been playing today and it appears that i cant walk properly anymore. when im TRYING to walk around so not to be heard, every few metres its asif i let go of walk and i run for a split second, giving my position away.
i usualy read all of the udtade notes, and i recall something similar about being able to hear people walking /crouching up stairs which was fixxed.

also ive noticed on Dust 2 theres now black smoke in the air.
i play CSS a lot, and never noticed these things. but there was an update couple days ago.
anyoen else had similar probs ?

but theres diddly squat in the update news... i mean the last MAJOR / noticable update was the one before last when they added HDR to dust 1

this is weird

have you tried walking for a long distance yet without it making audiable stepping noises?

I thought you had uninstalled CSS as you got addicted to it?, or was that someone else?. Ive noticed that foot steps seem louder lately.

ha ha that was me a while back mate !! but then i bought an X1900 and gave in to tempatation... but i dont play half as much / intense as i used to. im clannless which helps control the playing lol, where as before in a clan it was just non stop

coem to think of it footsteps may be louder... its hard to tell though

I've just been on and it was right quick! i couldn't keep up with the pace of everything lol. The black dust in the air on dust looks pathetic in my opinion, but it's their decision so meh.

what u mean quick ?, asin you think the game speed has changed abit, or it was just a quick / riot / mad server?

im not the only one that thinks this but im sure that ever time you join a server you get some kind of speed hanicap / bennefit, i could sware sometimes it FEELS like im running faster, or slower game to game / server to server.

they must chnage loads of stuff without telling us !

ive jst had another random update, only took a few ins... but theres not upfdate notes for it.
my walkign problem doesnt seem as bad as befre, but wealkin deffo sounds liouder. it seems that most distant thiongs are sounding louder. i keep gettin acused of wallhacking lol just cos i can ehar people moving better
