CS:S worth buying?

Been playing CoD4 a lot and have had it since it first came out, got a little bored of it now, so was wondering is CS:S worth buying its $23.44 on steam, which is about £11-12 I know its a bit old now, but still loads of people play it. Should I bother buying it? or do u think its just plain pants?
 
CS:S is a game that i will never get bored. NO matter what i have to play the damn game for at least 45 mins or may be more, depending a day, it's a must thing for me. Don't bother asking me why, lol.

Just get the game, plenty of servers out there, if you find the right one's.
 
yep i suggest you get it. ive had it since oooo 2004 . and its gotta be one of my most played games. its got a good community too if you find the right server. once you get the hang of it id join a clan. i think its one of the best games of all time. damn i was running it on a geforce ti4200 back in the day. but now . it runs fine on almost anything. i think the graphics are still pretty decent and its optimized. too.
 
Yes, gotta love the GunGame mod. You may find it an advantage to use TeamSpeak or Ventrilo on the servers you tend to play on, its much more fun wghen you are talking to the people whilst playing.

For 11 English pounds any fan of FPS would be a Fool not to buy it, Why you haven't got it alreaady is quite frankly beyond me :D
I've not played it for months but i still have a need for some Source evry now & again.
I see Source/CS as Training ground for Future FPS'ers, Kind of a Right of Passage to Getting Headshots & getting off on it :p
Next stop Teabagging ;)
 
Definatly worth getting,no matter what game comes out i allways drop it for cs:s:)allthough fuel of war is doing a good job of keeping me away at the mo:rolleyes:been a week:eek:cant resist a fix of gungame though:p
 
Its not the greatest game anymore - IMO COD4 is a lot better.

But thats not to say its rubbish, not at all, Ive had lots of fun playing it with my old clan and stuff - and when you do some teamwork that all seems to work, it feels brilliant.

So, my opinion is that its not the greatest game, but for £12, its a must have :)
 
COD4 is a million miles better, Insurgency is also far better.

CSS is completely outclassed in every single way by COD4.
 
Well when COD4 has been out as long as Source & still continues to have the following that Source has then maybe that statement may be true, We'll have to wait & see a.
Personally i would say the Impact kills on Source completely out way the wishy washy kills you get in COD4. Source feels far superior when it comes to actually Wasting people.
Before you start i am no Source fanboy either, I am a BF2 addict & Yes i have COD4 on PC & the sexbox.
 
i prefer cs:s then cod4 but it's depends on the person both great games cs:s need more tactics then cod4 and you need to know how to aim.

i like cs:s matches i never played cod 4 competitive so i cant say anything about it
 
If you can get Day of Defeat: Source as well, awesome game. I've stopped playing CS:S now as I got bored of having to wait for the next round (yes i'm crap :p), but I can play DOD:s for hours on end.
