CS:Source "Error Verifying STEAM UserID Ticket"

anyone else getting this? :confused:

it was fine earlier but suddnely just now, i kept trying to connect and i kept getting kicked for the above reason and i dont know why

same on all servers.. tried the Steam Beta and the normal steam and still no luck what so ever

can anyone help me?

I got this once on a french server but it's not happened since, that was at about 9pm, so yeh, it's strange but should be fixed soon

Try logging out and back in (this is not the same as restarting STEAM)

To do this:

1. Make sure you remember you're password. Username was saved for me.
2. Open STEAM
3. Select File
4. Select change user
5. A message will come up saying this will log you out of STEAM.
6. Click OK
7. Enter correct details
8. Log in.

ok sorted

to anyone else with the same problem its as easy to fix as eating chocolate..

Open Steam and get to the Games menu. Go to file, then select "Change User" then just log back into your account by re-entering your password. Restarting Steam does NOT work.

Or delete ClientRegistry.blob from the Steam folder and re-login to steam

its funny how many people (who are seasoned steam users) struggle with this problem

i had this on the 4th day of me having CS:S, i went to the support.steam page, found the entry, did what it said, and carried on playing...

then my gfx card died...
