I've been playing CS for a number of years now, but only ever public. Lately I've heard a lot about mixing in CSS and I'd like to give it a go. If someone could tell me where to get started that'd be a great help.

I know ocuk have a CSS clan (I used to have your server in my favourites but it seems to have disappeared). Maybe you guys could let play a few mixes with you if your into that sort of thing?

Cheers.

IRC is the place to go, if you don't use it, www.mirc.com

Then use a quakenet server. I've no idea on specific mix channels for CS:S, but there will be loads of them about.

usually when u play on a clans server and then the clan organise a match with a few clan memebers plus some of the regs from the server playing against another team. So its just a match but not all of the players are actually memebers of a clan

Yeah I just want to know what it'd be like playing in a clan to see if it is for me. That and I need something to fill Uni hols.

Ta for the tip DaveyD, I'll have a look into this IRC business.

Mixing is good to get your game up, start off low and progress up with some higher skilled teams. Good way of learning what other people do to counter attack or attack and how different people react and such. :)
