CS4 running really slow :(

Hello everyone,

Since reformatting my pc and installing my software again adobe photoshop is running slowly,

i have a simple sprite sheet loaded up and no matter what i do on it when fully zoomed in on it its performing really slow just to move arround the canvas or to rotate a layer etc.

any tips or tricks to make it run smoother and faster?

Have you installed graphics drivers from the manufacturer?

and Have you enabled OpenGL drawing in Photoshop? (Edit> Preferences> Performance)
 
thansk guys, open gl was available but i have just allowed it to use more ram and its now nice and smooth,

any further tips apart from me buyign more ram that coudl see a significat performance increase for my detailed works?

If you are using the 64bit version, make sure to dl the latest update. Without the update 64bit version was much slower than the 32bit one.
