CSGO Warning Connection Problem

Hi. Just bought csgo after enjoying the free weekend however I have a problem with the game.

Everytime I load the game, the first time I connect to a server I get "warning connection problem" after a few seconds. I then go back to the main menu and join another server and usually all is then good and I'm able to play.

But for some reason the first server I connect to always gives me the connection problem message

Anyone have a fix for this? I tried adjusting rates to some I found online and I restarted my router but still the same problem.

Meh I'm just going to have to put up with this until I get a new router I think.

Any recccomendations for a router? I just want it to have wireless don't need any other features. PC is connected to the router I use the wireless for ipad etc.

OR I could ask bt for a new homehub, I have the homehub v2 the black wave shaped one. Anyone know if the new homehub is better?

edit : I can't upgrade to the new homehub for free and bt are asking for the ghastly sum of £55, is that excessive? If its as good as the one I have then noway am I paying.
