Wow, what an utterly awful attempt at making a techy show.

If this makes it beyond 1 series Ill eat my hat. Ill stick to Vegas.

That is all...

Yeah it really was quite bad think it was too much American they tried to do another ncis or cop show that could potentially go on for 200 years again but failed on the first attempt.

I hope it does not get renewed for season 1...

Even my GF who isn't techy at all found it far too unbelievable.

I particularly liked that malware is written in red code so you can spot it easily .

I tried it and like everyone else here thought it was a complete joke... the main character by Arquette just didn't have any sort of impact like say grissom from the original and then they've got 'bow wow' as an 'uber hacker' lol....

I know tech series are in at the moment but this is a big fail.

At least I've got Scorpion, it might not be the best series ever but it's a lot better than csi:cyber

Oh dear. Reading about this seemed to get a mixed reception, bit its actually the Vegas show that seems to be on it's last legs :(

CSI needs to go back to its roots, its like a soap at times. Unfortunately it will end up like the others (NY and Miami).

As for Cyber, I kinda liked it. It wasnt great but it wasnt that bad :o

Sadly in my opinion vegas lost it's 'quality' when they lost Grissom... Morpheus and Sam Malone (whenever I see Ted Danson it just reminds me of cheers) just didn't work for me personally although Danson worked better than Fishburne. Having said that it has been going for 15 years.... it's going to run out of stories at some point :o

NY wasn't actually that bad, it had a different vibe but it kind of worked for NY and Miami, well that had Horatio and his sun glasses :)

CSI Cyber is likely fine for 'non techies' but those of us with even an ounce of tech knowledge will be 'seriously.... that's a load of rubbish'

2nd episode is out for this one anything think it will make a u turn improvement or anyone brave enough to try?

Haven't seen CSI: Cyber yet, but did watch the backdoor pilot episode on CSI: Vegas. Unfortunately, like most tech shows what they do is completely unbelievable. It *may* still do well with those who aren't particularly tech savvy (in the same way as the forensic techniques in CSI have always been completely unbelievable).

I hope that CSI: Vegas doesn't get cancelled. I've been enjoying the recent series with Ted Danson. If it does go, it really only leaves Castle and Criminal Minds in the trashy crime procedural genre.

I was a huge CSI fan back in the day (with the DVD collection to prove it), but after all these years it's definitely lost its touch. Miami and NY went downhill fairly quickly so it says something that Vegas has survived this long, but it's still a shadow of its former self. Seasons 3-5 were the absolute best of Vegas (4 especially, some excellent episodes), they just don't seem to have the quality of writing any more.

Still, Morgan (Elisabeth Harnois) will keep me watching for as long as she's in it.

so bad it defies belief.

this wasn't even written 'by the numbers', more like 'join the dots'

utterly awful, what on earth was patricia arquette thinking ?

I particularly liked the bit where she just guessed the exact bar the kidnappers would be hiding in

Its not even got a hottie in it :(

You don't class Hayley Kiyoko as a 'hottie'?

I gave up on NY when it turned ridiculous, the cases were totally insane. There was one where some guy had built a 'time machine' and the team were genuinely entertaining the possibility that it had worked.

Such a shame because the first few seasons were great, on par with some of Vegas' best ones.

I've liked all of them at some point over the years but always eventually got bored and stopped watching. This new one i only watched half the first episode and removed it from my list. Awful.
