CSP-MAG Question

I just got me a new Danger Den CSP-MAG 12 Volt Pump in the post today.

I filled it up with some water got it going round in a loop, but my question is.

Is it always noisesy and buzzing or might that just be trapped air and how effective it is if I slow it down a touch with the motherboard fan controller.

I have two of these (in series which is wrong but I didn't check before hand and it's how I had CSP's before...). Mine have started "buzzing" at start-up now, but it goes away after a short while. I haven't really got to the bottom of it yet, the pumps are at the bottom of the case and there is no visible air in the water stream so I'm not really sure how air can get trapped in there...

Thanks If need be ill case it in sound proofing foam I have some spare.
