CSS - 5.1 sound?

Hi,
I have Vista x64, Creative X-Fi and Creative 5.1 speakers. In Windows and all my other games that I've tried, 5.1 surround sound works fine. However in CSS, sound only comes through the front speakers. Does anyone have a solution?

Check the sound settings in game.

With the near same setup I cant get any of my games to run 5.1.........

i had probs with this, i couldnt get sound from the sub, turns out i need to tuen on bass redirection

Use the creative alchemy and then you have to add it in manually.

try reversing centre and sub in the driver options, css always had them backwards for me

Never personally had a problem with this myself, but the sound direction isn't that good on CSS not as good as it was on CS 1.6 tbh.

Drivers for Vista 64 are crap - the console doesnt even work!
Also it would be a bad idea to swap them in the driver options because then all my other games will be messed up.

Are you saying that you can hear where things are coming from better in cs 1.6?
