CSS Columns

Ok so I want a 3 column layout and ideally I would like text to flow from one to the next in an overflow kinda way like with word processing. Is this possible or do I have to use CSS3 which (afaik) is not wide spread as yet.

no, it is not possible with CSS, if it was i think you would see a lot more websites using this technique.

You can float three elements side-by-side (for instance <p>), but you'd have to structure your text accordingly.

Yeah I though at much, I tried to get them to float on their own and they floated left to right not down then down then down, if you catch my drift.
