CSS does not load?

I'm trying to play css but it does not load.

I just installed an old Ati 2900XT using 10.4 drivers and the game just cuts off when I'm trying to load it from steam.

I'm using windows 7, I have a feeling it might be the drivers? If so, which drivers would be best using this graphics card?

Try defragging the games cache and also verifying the games content or something; an option on steam that generally seems to work on problems like these. Try restarting steam. - I'm guessing that you have it on steam.

On steam menu, CSS, properties, verify integrity of game cache, and then also defragment your cache files.

exit steam and delete the client.blob file, restart steam let it update and try running CSS again.
