CSS Gun prices, come on!

I think it's a console command some servers use. mp_dynamicpricing0 or something How could you justify those prices in a competitive match.
 
What a joke the pricing has turned out to be - you'd think there would be a limit to it e.g. cannot increase by more than 10% or whatever.

Glad I don't play on servers which use it.
 
I still personally think its a good idea. These dramatic rises in prices, are beginning to show the community just HOW overused certain weapons are. Eventually people will be forced to use other weapons, learning the game and guns better than one/two weapon pros.

Doesn't the fact some gun prices have risen so high since this became standard, show you just how overused/relied upon some guns are?
It'll be a good day for css skill and a bad day for css l337 pros when people begin to realise they can successfully use other guns, and perhaps begin to like a wider range of them.

Think about it.
 
Who here actually cares if a gun is over used?

People buy them because they are the best of the pick... why would you buy a P228 when you can have a deagal? Why buy a UMP when you can have an MP5? etc. etc.

The DWP is rubbish. No other game has this implamented, i wonder why......
 
Apart from newbs, the majority will always buy the weapon that takes the most skill and therefore is more powerful/accurate and use it.
 
I never did understand why the UMP was the same price (kinda) as the MP5 but sucked soooo much.

also, M4 hit over $6k in some places this week. and still 3% of people bought it. guessing that its the servers without DWP that are effecting the results now!

the ump uses .45's instead of the 9mm's of an mp5 and should hurt a lot more... shame they never actually made the gun worth buying in css

in more accurate games like the rainbow 6 series the ump rox
 
thats what I don't understand.
if they upped the UMPs damage it would be WORTH using, but its ROF and lack of accuracy (ingame) make it pointless!

SMP has 1.15% and MAC10 has just under 1%

MORE PEOPLE BOUGHT NIGHT VISION GOGGLES THAN THE UMP!

The ump is a WWII gun I think and I dont ever buy it normally but when I have used it, its not so bad. I mean people went down so it must be accurate or something.


I like the way valve do this when no one else would but it does seem a bit out of whack. No server I play on uses this system, can anyone recommend a server ip to try?
I hope they havent messed up and included stats of servers not using it, it cant be working right

most public servers seem to have it running.
