CSS help

Hi all,
I'm learning HTML and CSS as a bit of a hobby, and I'm building a site as I go. Now, I've run into an issue I can't fix.

Here's the site: http://robertcrabb.co.uk/WIP/index.html
CSS: http://robertcrabb.co.uk/WIP/style.css

What I want, is for the contents div (with the lorem ipsum in it) to fill all the vertically available space (between the header and the footer, which is glued to the bottom of the page).

Is there a way to do this?
Feel free to point out any other horrible things I've done as well

you want the white box to go all the way to the bottom of the page?

Well, to the footer, yes.

I thought that might be the case :/
I guess if I do that the footer won't be stuck to the bottom.

Might have to rethink my design a bit then.
