CSS Mic - Echos very badly, help :/

Hello, well basicaly my mic works fine in all other games and xfire, vent etc. But in css when i use my mic i say something and it echos it continualy getting louder and louder till it deafens people.

What the hell could be causing this?

People using voice chat at the same time while having desktop speakers ?
It comes back to you, but because your mic is on, it sends it back again, and the cycle repeats.

Disable voice activation and use push to talk, make sure to release the button once you've said what you wanted to say and make sure it doesn't record when someone else is talking.

Ah i found it, i had to change a setting in steam to do with my mic it was set to "what you hear" not my usb mic.

But now i have a WORSE problem. I no longer can join games, further moer trying to join a game makes my internet stop working and i have to restart the pc, restarting router and modem does not fix the issue.

Ive had this before and it caused me to stop playing a while ago. Now ive got it again! What the hell

It appears however this time my internet has regained its self. It was down for about 2 minuites totaly then i started being able to use websites and 3 min later xfire can log in again.

Sigh hasn't fixed it, now all my game sound comes through my headset
