CSS:S Help

So i tried to join a mate in a gun game tonight, and everytime i try connect, I get the following error "
Disconnect: Error verifying STEAM UserID Ticket."
Why is this, this is a fresh install of the game?

exit steam

delete clientregistry.blob from steam folder

run steam again

All ya do is log out of the account then log back into it.

Closing down Steam wont do anything, weird i know... Just log out

Hmm still not doing anything, and i tried all of the above.
I dont get the same error anymore, but the connect just hangs on "sending client info"

Is the game 100% up to date? Are any other people using the same Steam account on your network or anywhere else? Your firewall letting all the right stuff through etc?
