CSS

Have a look at w3schools.com first and then maybe htmldog.com. Although you can leanr a lot just taking sites apart - E.g. download some sites from csszengarden.

I bought the book 'CSS: The Missing Manual' because I find online tutorials distracting for some reason. I can study something better when it's in a book.

It's big, but is easy going and takes you from complete basics right up to the advanced stuff, with downloadable examples to work through.

Would personally advise you to take apart some well made sites, as there's nio way on earth I could go through endless pages of what each and everything does in css.

Would personally hold off using csszengarden initially, as to get on that site the markup has to be semantically perfect (just look at some of the sites that didn't get listed!). Have a look at this site when you understand more about css basics.

woork.com is a pretty good site for css tips, although not comrehensive, it is easy to follw for beginners, an has a perfect example of a fixed-width, entre css, table-less design.
Dreamweaver CS3 has a library of CSS templates .
