Anyone tried it?
I know SX3 had massive issues with Vista, but I've heard vague murmers that it's fine with 7... although I cannot seem to find any confirmation of this.
I'm getting very fed-up of stale old XP.

Does it work well with XP x64 then?
I'm building a new DAW soon with 4GB of ram, so preferably want to go the 64-bit route.

I've had it up and running on Windows 7 no problems. :)

If you want to go 64-bit, you'll ideally want Cubase 5 which has both x86 and x64 varients of the application. Cubase 3 + 4 dont support it, so you'll be stuck to the memory limitations still.

The H20 version wont work on 64-bit either ;)

:O
Are you really telling me I'm gonna have to shell out £500 as a student to record on a 64-bit OS? ****
I wonder how cheap my college can get it.

just spent the last day trying to get it to work in windows 7. H2o? i wonder who they are ;)

It now loads but seems to crash after a few minutes, i think its to do with my plugins that i cant seem to run in xp sp2 mode (cos i cant find a file to right click on and put into compatability mode!)

Think ill just install xp on another disc and dual boot with wondows 7, just using xp for cubase...

H2O were eventually all employed by steinberg becuase they managed to crack the uncrackable... hence no H2O releases of Cubase 4 or 5.

Need to order through educational establishedment/university ;)

I can do that NP anyway. At music college.
The real bummer is now I need to sacrifice money that could be spent on DI's or a good MIDI controller for software. I just feels like less... I cant touch the buttons in software. I might have to get the Axiom 49 instead of the AKAI MPK49 now.
