hi guys

just wondered if any OC people can recommend a cube case that my mobo will fit into. ive checked a few cases but not all specify the max size of the micro atx board.

my mobo is : Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H Socket 1150

dimensions: Micro ATX Form Factor; 24.4cm x 22.5cm

I was looking at this cheap and chearful case:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kolink-satellite-micro-atx-cube-case-black-ca-005-kk.html

but it says max mobo dimensions are:

Motherboard Support: Micro-ATX (Up to 22.6cm x 18cm)

which is smaller than the gigabyte board i have :(

any advice?

cheers

thanks for the advice. i was just abit concerned that the case spec says matx mobo but then the dimensions were smaller than my matx mobo....i presumed all matx mobos were roughly the same size?

You and i both m8 , after a bit of investigation would seem that surprisingly thats not the case at all .

The specification for Matx is 244 × 244 mm which doesnt match your mobo or that case or a few mobos ive just looked at !

A build ive just finished used an Asus Z170M-PLUS Matx board which when having your Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H overlayed onto it is clearly bigger.
And the stand off near the bottom Sata ports is in a different place.

Know idea why this is TBH apart from reading some mention of the the small one being Matx-L ,

im sure someone will post explaining it. :D

that is strange, thanks for taking the time to check it out.

I think I may have to end up buying one of these cases and if my current mobo doesn't fit i'll have to buy a new one that definitely will.

You also want to check out the Cooltek W2. It's ATX but small, would have no problem fitting your board, but it won't look dinky in there like MATX boards usually do in ATX cases. Lovely to work with also.
